Warriors Side For South Sydney
Clash

The Warriors will travel to Sydney on Saturday for their Round 16 clash against the Rabbitohs and will remain in Australia until after their Round 17 game against the Cowboys in Townsville.

Head coach Daniel Anderson will take a squad of 25 players and will spend a week training whilst based in Coogee, Sydney.

"We would lose two days preparation if we opted for our normal routine of flying back and forth between Sydney - Auckland - Brisbane - Townsville," says Anderson.

"Last season we had delays of up to 12 hours travelling to Townsville. By eliminating one leg of the travel plan we reduce the risk of poor preparation."

The Warriors' 2002 Grand Final centre pairing of John Carlaw and Clinton Toopi are re-united for the game against Souths.

Rookie centre Vince Mellars will be rested this weekend. Vinnie Anderson retains his place on the interchange bench.

Jerry Seuseu will be rested for one more week and is expected to make a return against the Cowboys in Townsville.
