Warriors Team For Cowboys Match

New Zealand Warriors second-rower Awen Guttenbeil has been included in the starting line-up to play the North Queensland Cowboys at Ericsson Stadium, Auckland on Monday.

The 27-year old forward has been sidelined with a knee injury since the Warriors' second-round win over the Bulldogs, a game in which he was named the player of the day.

Daniel Anderson believed Guttenbeil's return would provide his team with different options on attack and intensity in defence.

"Awen set up a try, scored a try and made 23 tackles when we played the Bulldogs - his deeds are inspirational to our young interchange forwards Sione Faumuina and Evarn Tuimavave," Anderson said.

John Carlaw's troublesome hip-flexor injury should be sufficiently healed for him to take his place. He has been named at centre forcing Vinnie Anderson's return to the interchange bench.

Iafeta Palea'aesina has not been named to play this weekend.
