Warriors to take winning form into their final NRL trial

The Vodafone Warriors will take winning form into their final 2010 NRL trial against Manly next week after again finishing impressively in beating North Queensland 28-6 in Cairns tonight.

The performance followed last Saturday's 26-8 victory over the Sydney Roosters in Rotorua.

It was 6-6 at halftime tonight after the Vodafone Warriors had scored first via a try by hooker Aaron Heremaia, sneaking across from dummy half for his third try in two trials.

But after conceding a try late in the first half, the Vodafone Warriors never had their line breached again while scoring four themselves.

Lance Hohaia, who played the whole match at fullback, had a double, his first from a short side play and his second a superb kick and chase effort.

Patrick Ah Van had another try, picking up a James Maloney kick which the Cowboys allowed to bounce, and young winger Bill Tupou had the final try of the night off a long ball from Shaun Johnson.

Another positive from the victory was a clean sheet in the injury department.
