Warriors unable to finalise U.S
game and Club extend Season Ticket Offer

Wigan Warriors can today confirm that there will not be a game between the club and the U S Tomahawks next month.

Officials of both organisations had been looking to finalise a game during Wigan's pre-season training camp in Florida but despite a great deal of effort we have been unsuccessful.

Speaking about the news Wigan Warriors Sales Director Geoff Warburton said,

"Denis and the team were looking at organising a fixture whilst on camp but we can now confirm no game will take place. The facilities in Florida are second to none and we are sure the trip will be of huge benefit to the players in build up to the new season."

We have also been fortunate in acquiring the services of former U S A 4 x 100 metre sprint champion Dennis Mitchell to assist in specialist sprint coaching whilst in Orlando. Mitchell is set to work with the speedsters in the squad to hopefully give them that little bit extra in Super League X.

Meanwhile Wigan are pleased to announce that due to the huge success in the sale of season tickets the club are extending the Christmas deadline of 23rd December for a further two weeks to the 7th January 2005.

Nearly 6,500 have been sold so far and supporters have approached the club about extending the opportunity to purchase season tickets at the reduced rate. The supporters have really got behind the club and the demand to see the club in 2005 has been phenomenal and we would like to give as many fans as possible the chance to get behind the team at the best possible prices.

Warburton added,

"On top of the fabulous success of the sale of season tickets the recently launched Cherry and Whites Club has already surpassed sales of the former second floor executive club. The newly named package provides a superb opportunity to watch Wigan Warriors in style with three levels of membership."
