It was all the Warriors over the next passage of play as the Cowboys fumbled the ball, handing the Kiwis several opportunities to extend their lead. However the Warriors failed to extend their lead setting the stage for a tight finish with ten minutes to go.

With the final ten minutes of their season looming the Cowboys were ready to step up. It was Zachary Santo who kicked off the comeback, strolling over for a try in the 71st minute on the back of a break from Felise Kaufusi. Feldt added the extras to put his side within eight points of the lead.
