Webbs back injury could need
surgery

New Zealand and Warriors fullback Brent Webb has withdrawn from the Kiwis side for next week's ANZAC rugby league test, but it may be the least of his problems.

Webb has been suffering with a disc problem in his lower back and limped off in his comeback match for the Warriors last week.

Webb has being given three weeks to come right but if he does not make significant progress, he may have to consider surgery, which would rule him out for the rest of the season.

Warriors coach Tony Kemp says medical staff have advised another three weeks rest for Webb, before having another scan and reassessing his situation.
