Who Will Eels Hand the Five Eight
Role?

Parramatta have named a unchanged side for the round 6 clash with Manly at Brookvale Oval this Sunday.

The Eels have named Daniel Wagon who faces a 1-2 match ban for a high tackle on Luke Stuart on Easter Monday. Wagon will miss 1 match if he pleads guilty to the charge but could face a 2 match ban if he contests the charge and is found guilty.

The question is who will Smith promote to five-eight to replace Wagon?

There is Shane Muspratt signed from the Cowboys who plays a defensive type role like Wagon or the creativity of Michael Witt or Englishman Chris Thorman.

Witt excelled last season at halfback and could slip in the five-eight role and Thorman was a first choice five-eight in the European Super League. Dykes could switch to five-eight and Witt to halfback also. Who ever Smith chooses he is unlikely to name him til game day. Hopkins, Cannings, Muckert and Prince all on the injured list.
