World Cup Weekend Teams and Times

The finals of the 15th Rugby League World Cup kick off this weekend, as Australia plays host to 10 countries who have qualified to battle out the highest international honour in our game.

The World Cup action kicks off on Saturday night with the opening clash between England and Papua New Guinea in Townsville. On Sunday the focus shifts to Canberra for the clash between Scotland and France, and then on Sunday night tournament favourites Australia will face their fierce rivals from across the Tasman, New Zealand at the Sydney Football Stadium.

Each of these first three games will have curtain-raiser fixtures - in Townsville there will be a match between the Australian and Papua New Guinea defence force teams, while in Canberra more Australia defence personnel will be in action in a Secretary of Defence v Chief of Defence Select XIII clash.
