Redcliffe Dolphins Awards Night

THE Redcliffe Dolphins held their 57th annual presentation night in the Des Webb lounge at the Redcliffe Leagues Club on Friday night. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Peter Leis Medal and Searles Garden Products Player of the Year. At the beginning of the night a leaders board was revealed with the top 8 finishers. The contenders were Brian Jellick, Gavin Cooper, Shane Perry, Adam Starr, Troy Lindsay, Michael Roberts, Ben Jones and Daniel Green. After the first 5 rounds the leader was Shane Perry on 14 points leading from Brian Jellick and Adam Starr on 13. After 10 rounds Perry was still in front on 24 votes from Michael Roberts who picked up 19 votes in 5 rounds to move onto 20 votes with Starr in third on 18 votes. After 15 rounds there was a new leader with Brian Jellick moving into the top spot on 32 points from Perry on 31 and Roberts on 30 points. At the end of 22 rounds, with all votes counted and with a congested leader board the winner of the Peter Leis Medal and Searles Garden Products Player of the Year was announced and the winner was Adam Starr.
