Skando

MY favourite player in Rugby League is John Skandalis. He?s possibly the most under-rated forward in the game today. He does a ton of work in each game, he does it with no arguments, has a great offload, and best of all, he?s a Campbelltown man. His first grade debut was in 1996, for the Western Suburbs Magpies (poor guy). He ended up scoring a try in that match. Thus was born the legend of Skando. Well, he?s a legend to us Wests Tigers supporters anyway.

Jealousy

DON?T you just hate NRL players? Oh, I?m sure on one level you love them- you wouldn?t be reading this if you weren?t a fan, after all. But on another, deeper level, you despise them. Go on, admit it.

Bears Put In Big Effort In Loss To Talented Roosters

THE Bears effort was unquestionable, but the Roosters dominance in possession put the North Sydney side on the back foot as some positional re-shuffling weakened the Bears attack. In the first half with patches of rock solid defence from the Norths forwards, Bears half Aaron Heremaia showed a glimmer of his team's current form, unfortunately with no result. In the end the Roosters dominated the first period going to a 24-2 lead at half time. In the second the Bears Billy Ngawini was able to spark a resurgence with a try, after the Norths forwards headed by Michael Harper, Alex Chan and Tevita Metuisela bounced back to form and managed to lay a platform to work from, but the Roosters hit back with a length of the field intercept try. Lester Salanoa finished the Bears scoring off with final score 36-14 to the Roosters

Redcliffe Dolphins News

AN untimely forfeit by Runaway Bay last weekend saw the Colts miss out on some much needed game time. Although strength and conditioner Tony Guilfoyle gave the side a torrid workout on Sunday morning nothing can compensate for the real thing particularly when the remaining rounds see the Dolphins up against improvers Hill District and competition heavyweights Wests & Norths, although on the positive side of things it gave the side a good opportunity to freshen up their legs for the run into the finals.
