A preliminary 22-man squad has been named by the Maroons for the up-coming State of Origin series against New South Wales on 25th May.
Perhaps the only surprise is Storm utility forward Dallas Johnson, but most of the rest of the squad has picked itself with inform Cowboy Jonathan Thurston included as well as veteran Raider Jason Smith. Fellow club-mate Clinton Schifcofske wasn't so lucky, once again finding himself on the outer.

LONDON Broncos have confirmed that they will be taking a second game on the road this season.
WHILE the Cronulla season has been steaming along quite nicely, despite a few hiccups, there is one aspect of our game that is not nearly as efficient as it should be. I?m not talking about our missed tackles (which, I should add, are ludicrously high each week). I?m not talking about the continual selection of Greg Bird in the team over more deserving contenders (although that is another problem.)
BRETT Finch has taken an early guilty please to a grade one contrary conduct charge but will miss two games because of 93 carry-over points. The Roosters halfback was charged for getting himself involved in a scuffle late in the game and was subsequently marched for 10 minutes.
