Who's set to make a big off-season switch at the end of this season?

5. Xavier Coates (Broncos to Storm)

The Maroons flyer was the one that got away from Broncos coach Kevin Walters, with the first-year Brisbane boss managing a strong field of retention signings in 2021, however Coates' departure is a major blow for the young side.

Despite just the 28 appearances so far in his career, Coates has flourished under the big lights, putting in a star performance for Queensland in his Origin debut on route to the state's memorable series victory.

Coates finds himself on the outer of the Maroons setup for game two of this year's series, with the NSW Blues an obvious option to clinch the series with your bet365 bonus code.

The 20-year-old has scored 14 tries in his career-to-date, running at a try every two matches for the struggling Broncos.

His two-year deal with the Storm is a major boost for not only the young winger but for the Victorian club, who will use their newest face as a fitting successor to the departing Josh Addo-Carr.

A signing like Coates is sure to further extend the Storm's dominance over the league, with supercoach Craig Bellamy sure to expand on his stunning record with more signings like Coates.

4. Matt Burton (Panthers to Bulldogs)

This one has had plenty of talk in regards to how much Burton can offer both the Panthers and Bulldogs.

The young halfback has been sensational for Penrith this season and has given Bulldogs fans a great insight into what they're in-store for next year.

There have been talks of the Panthers being keen on keeping Burton at the foot of the mountains, but the Bulldogs aren't looking to budge on their secured signing.

His eventual arrival at Belmore is sure to aid Trent Barrett's 2021 woes, with the Bulldogs struggling to find a spark in the middle of their pack.

Burton's ability to have those around him play better will be key in lifting Canterbury's chances of returning to the top eight.

His arrival could even match well with the out-of-favour Kyle Flanagan, while his current teammate Brent Naden is also sure to be bolstered by joining Burton at the Bulldogs.

3. Adam Reynolds (Rabbitohs to Broncos)

A much needed level of experience is set to land at Red Hill, with the premiership halfback joining the struggling Broncos from next year.

Reynolds is sure to add an unparalleled amount of skill and know-how for a young, keen list, with a number of young guns set to flourish under his tutelage.

While Reynolds is sure to have a limited impact compared to those around him on this list as he enters the twilight of his career, his signature alone is sure to rekindle a vital spark at the Broncos.

Gun centre Kotoni Staggs is tipped to join Reynolds in the halves, with the new partnership set to offer a great balance of explosiveness and accuracy.

2. Josh Addo-Carr (Storm to Bulldogs)

The NSW superstar will depart the Storm after five seasons, with his current record set at 89 tries from 110 games.

‘The Foxx' doesn't look like slowing down either, enjoying a career-best campaign so far in 2021 as he looks to add to his 16 tries from 14 matches.

This coup is a major tick for the young Bulldogs, who will add some much-needed Origin-calibre talent to their list from 2022.

With a number of key signings venturing to Belmor this season and next, Addo-Carr is sure to remain in a place for finals impact despite opting for the lowly Bulldogs over the reigning premiers.

A return to Sydney is also set to have Addo-Carr right at home, with plenty of the limelight now on the gun flyer.

1. Nicho Hynes (Storm to Sharks)

He was the most in-demand name in the opening half of the 2021 season following a breakout start to the year, with Cronulla the side to come out on top in the race for Nicho Hynes.

The signing is a huge boost for incoming coach Craig Fitzgibbon, with Hynes able to play just about anywhere in the back half of the ground.

His ability to dominate from fullback and have a key hand in the halves is what has sky-rockeyted his value in 2021, with the Storm unable to match rival offers in hope of securing his services.

Hynes will join former Dragons skipper Cameron McInnes at the Shire as Fitzgibbon looks to create a new era in Cronulla and bring a second NRL premiership.

With a new level of optimism at the Sharks and a number of key players now re-signing with the club, the future is looking a lot brighter in the shire before Fitzgibbon and Hynes have even stepped through the door.
