Hull Kingston Rovers were beaten comprehensively by the better team on the day, but the score did flatter the victors and could have been a lot closer without the constant intervention of referee Richard Silverwoods whistle. Tries from Jamie Bovill and Whetu Taewa along with two Dane Dorahy conversions had the score at 16-12 towards the end of the first half whilst Alasdair McLarron scored a consolation try in the final minute.
