NSW CUP MATCH PREVIEWS - ROUND 16

Auckland Vulcans Vs Central Coast Centurions
Mt Smart Stadium #2, Saturday, June 25
Kick-off: 1.00pm (NZST) 11.00am (AEST)
Referee: Craig Pascoe

Summary: The Vulcans are sitting pretty in second place on the NSW Cup ladder, and with their excellent for and against, a win here could all but seal a maiden finals appearance. A comprehensive 44-4 victory against an out of sorts Windsor side last week has them perfectly positioned to challenge the Dogs for top spot on the ladder.

The Centurions will be doing it tough here as they are missing regulars like Peter Mata'utia, Scott Briggs, Ryan Stig, Steve Southern, Marvin Filipo and Kyle O'Donnell who all miss the trip across the Tasman due to injury and NRL duties.

The Centurions have slipped to seventh on the ladder in recent weeks and a loss here combined with the fact that the Tigers receive two points for the bye means the Centurions may well be in eighth place by the end of the round. Bill Tupou has been rewarded for his stellar form of late with a call up to the Warriors and Krisnan Inu comes into the Vulcans line up as his replacement.
