Round 6 Preview ? This one could go anywhere!

LAST week certainly lived up to it?s ?upside down? reputation, with this punter picking three winners and taking his total to 20/35, which might be fair to middling in most tipping competitions, but then again I could be applying liberal doses of generosity. One startling fact to emerge from the rubble though, was the order amongst the chaos. Surely, with all the lopsided and unpredictable results, you wouldn?t imagine that one of sports most treasured institutions would actually prove true? Remarkably, the home ground advantage came to the fore and was the one constant amid a seemingly changing landscape.

Round 5 Team of the Week

WHAT a sensational round of footy and with it comes another bumper League Unlimited Team of the Week. There's only two names in here from last week, proving even further that this year's comp is one of the most competitive and unpredictable to date. Given some of the fine displays over the weekend, I think side would capture the mantle as this season's finest.

Monday?s Expert League Wrap - Round 5

ROUND 5, 8-10 April 2005 Melbourne?s Matt Orford and Canberra?s Clinton Schifcofske still head the leader board in this year?s Awards. The two form players of the competition remain in equal first place on seven points.

Round 5 Preview - upside down, upside down!

YES, you'd be forgiven for thinking we're in a parallel universe of some kind, or in the case of Mr Squiggle, living on the moon. It would appear to some that Miss Jane has yet to turn the picture upside down, or has she already? If you're Canberra and Manly you'd be pretty happy that her work is done. Not so in the case of Newcastle and St George Illawarra though, who right now embody the spirit of Bill Steamshovel and Gus the Snail.

Round 4 Team of the Week

THIS week we've got a great Team - Well rounded in the backs with an excellent kicker, potent attack and great pace with two halves that are outstanding at the moment. Then there's the forward pack who are firing on all cylinders and a clever hooker to boot.

Round 4 Preview - Have the God's gone crazy?

IT must be one of the world's hardest occupations to pick winners at the moment, and I'm not just saying that because I'm sitting on a very shabby 13 from a possible 21 so far.
