NRL MATCH REVIEW: 2016 Round 16

Two players so far have been hit with charges in Round 16.

Both players charged below are able to escape charge with the early guilty plea.

Saturday | Knights v Dragons

Jacob Saifiti (Knights) has been issued a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact - Head/Neck charge which accrues 100 base points. With the early plea this reduces to 75 points. Saifiti has no loading or carryovers. He'll miss no game time unless he contests the charge unsuccessfully.

The incident occured between Saifiti and Tyson Frizell in the 11th minute of Newcastle's loss to the Dragons.


Saturday | Bulldogs v Broncos

Josh Jackson (Bulldogs) has been hit with a Grade 1 Dangerous Throw charge which carries a 125 base penalty, but reduces to 93 points with the early plea. Similar to Saifiti, Jackson has no loading or carryovers.

The dangerous throw was on Brisbane's Tevita Pangai Junior in the 47th minute of Canterbury's 40-14 win.


UPDATE (27 Jun 2016, 5:30pm): Both players have accepted the early plea and will miss no matches.

There are no charges from Friday (Panthers v Rabbitohs) or Sunday (Titans v Raiders, Storm v Wests Tigers).
