14 added to Train-On Squad as
Broncos and Knights bow-out

Brisbane and Newcastle have contributed 14 players to the train-on squad for Australia's end-of-season Kangaroo tour of France and England.

Gorden Tallis, Darren Lockyer, Shane Webcke, Brent Tate, Petero Civoniceva, Shaun Berrigan, Michael De Vere and Dane Carlaw asked to train on after the Broncos were eliminated from the National Rugby League premiership race yesterday.

Ben Kennedy, Timana Tahu, Matt Gidley, Danny Buderus, Steve Simpson and Josh Perry from Newcastle were also added following the Knights' exit on Saturday night.

Players already in the squad are Parramatta's Nathan Hindmarsh, St George Illawarra pair Shaun Timmins and Mark Gasnier, North Queensland duo Matt Sing and Josh Hannay, Cronulla's Brett Kimmorley and Phil Bailey, Wests Tiger John Skandalis, Manly's Steve Menzies and South Sydney's Bryan Fletcher. All players will be required to continue training until a squad is finalised the day after the October 5 night grand final.

There are doubts over the fitness of both Timmins and Tate.
