Kiwis squad announced

The New Zealand Rugby League conducted their High Performance Camp at Kings College, Otahuhu over the last 4 days which included the top 30 boys in both the Under 16?s and the Under 18?s age groups and 5 elite ladies players.

A first of its kind for the NZRL it proved to be a huge successful and very beneficial for players and coaching staff alike.

After a very full schedule the camp concluded with a trial match for the Under 16?s in build up to selecting the New Zealand 16?s to tour Australia in September and October 2005 where they will have 3 provisional matches, and also a trial match for the final selection of the 2005 Junior Kiwis.

The Junior Kiwi team will remain in camp in Auckland until Sunday when they will set off for Sydney.

They will play a warm up game on Tuesday 19 July against the Sydney Roosters Development Squad at Wentworth Park kicking off at 3.00pm (5.00pm NZ Time) before moving onto Melbourne where they will play their first test match against the Australian Schoolboys as the curtain raiser to the NRL Storm v Roosters game. Kick off time 12.40pm (2.40pm NZ Time).

Brisbane will be the teams next destination and final leg of the tour, again taking on the Australian Schoolboys in their second test match. The game will be played at Kougari Oval, Wynnum at 7.00pm (9.00pm NZ Time).
