Thurston & Hayne share 2014 Dally M Medal

Johnathan Thurston and Jarryd Hayne have tied at the top of the Dally M Leaderboard in 2014 to share the NRL's prestigious annual award. Read on for all the winners below.

The awards night is set to commence from 8:30pm AEST.

8:45pm - Fifteen minutes in and we've had a few highlights packages, host Tony Squires cracking a few "jokes", David Smith making a positive speech sharing positive stories and news about the 2014 NRL season. We now have Hindmarsh & Fletcher interviewing fans in the bleachers.

9:00pm - Coach of the Year and Rookie of the Year both named. Now we bring in Russell Crowe to begin the count from Round 17.

9:15pm - Crowe has updated the count (see below for the latest leaderboard), and we now have the Representative Player of the Year named. Some horrible banter between the co-hosts, you could hear a pin drop. Next up is the Captain of the Year.

9:30pm - Another count update from Russell (with a unique movie plug to boot). Jarryd Hayne now tops the count going into Round 23. Provan Summons Medallist Thurston accepts his award, and now we go back to another count from Rusty.

9:40pm - Jarryd Hayne remains on top after 24 rounds. The count will now take a backburner role as we power through a range of other awards including Holden Cup Player of the Year which will be presented by Braith Anasta and his wife Jodi.

9:50pm - Holden Cup Player of the Year presented, now a long, tedious speech from a newspaper editor before we learn the winner of Peter Frilingos Headline Moment of the Year.

10:00pm - We power through! Round 25 done and dusted, now the Team of the Year has been named, and we're now awaiting the review of Round 26. The Dally M Player of the Year is... TWO PLAYERS! It's a TIE!
