By the Numbers - NRL Round 1

Each week we'll be taking a look at some important (and not so important) numbers from the round just gone. Here's Round 1, by the numbers.

300 - Number of games Corey Parker has played for the Brisbane, and coincidentally, the number of times confused NRL fans searched Google to find out why there was a 300m line on the field...

2 - the number of seconds left on the clock when Pat Richards decided to further break the hearts of already practically soul-destroyed Titans supporters.

9 - the Number of weeks Junior Paulo is facing on the sideline, after this lifting tackle on Matt Ballin.

4 - The number of line breaks racked up by Semi Radradra for the Eels on Friday night. Also the number of Sea Eagles players who had nightmares of big bearded steamtrains that night.

8 - How many tackles Josh Reynolds missed against the Panthers.

163 - The difference in metres made between Sharks starting props Andrew Fifita and Matt Prior.

18897 - The average crowd figure so far for Round 1, 2015.

20 - The number of people who were disappointed to see a bit of biff back in the game (thanks Mr Wighton!) Ironically, they all take up prominent spots on morning television?

1974 - The year Mitchell Moses was attempting to emulate, when he practically took off William Zillman's head in a coathanger tackle.

And finally,

2 - the number of people who think the Moses tackle was not a send-off offence. Funnily enough, both of them were carrying whistles on Sunday afternoon...
