NEWCASTLE RUGBY LEAGUE SEASON PREVIEW

Short and sweet will the attitude for this season's Newcastle Rugby League after the demise of the Port Stephens Sharks left an eight-team competition with just 14 rounds.

On a positive note, those 14 rounds promise to be the most even in recent memory. All eight clubs have a realistic chance of qualifying for the top five. Alternatively, a win or two could be all that separates the top-five and a wooden spoon.
