Broncos v Bulldogs preview

Brisbane Broncos v Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs
Suncorp Stadium - Friday 7:45pm

Brisbane aim to bounce back, whilst time is running out for the Bulldogs...

Both these sides had last start defeats in matches that they would have fancied themselves in. Brisbane were blown off the park 44-14 by a rampant and more hungry Manly side in a match that Wayne Bennett and his team would like to forget. Although it could end up being a positive for the Broncos as winning streaks heading into the finals can be an Achilles heel. Brisbane's defence was off which has only happened a handful of times this year, I this is rectified for this weeks clash they will be confident in getting the win over the Bulldogs.

As for the 'Dogs, what can we say? Chances are being blown by them each week and with each loss their hopes of finals football suffers. The were dreadful in the first 20 minutes against the Roosters but then turned it on for the next 40 to pile on 28 points. Only again to falter and let the Rooster run in the last 3 tries and win the game. Defence Is the name of the game this week as the Bulldogs look to keep their finals chances alive.

Last meeting: Round 18 2015 - Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs 8 Brisbane Broncos 16

Who to watch: Darius Boyd will be the Broncos lynch pin when it comes to attacking raids. He is also fantastic under the high ball and has been playing as part of the Broncos defensive line to give them an extra body in defence. Boyd is a big part of the Broncos success in 2015, let's see if he can continue it on Friday night.

For the Bulldogs they will want to have their defence in order and have their forward pack moving forward. Sam Kasiano will be at the entre of this and the NZ international will want a big game after being on the end o a thunderous hit via Kane Evans last week. When on song Kasiano can be destructive and the Bulldogs desperately need that come Friday.

The favourite: Brisbane at home and the Bulldogs fumbling has the Broncs as favorites.

My tip: Brisbane to win easily in this clash, they will bounce back from last weeks disappointing defeat and Bennett will have them up for this game. Broncos by 12.
