Storm v Titans preview

Melbourne Storm v Gold Coast Titans
AAMI Park - Sunday 2:00pm

This game will never be classified as a highlight of the NRL season as two teams from very opposite ends of the NRL ladder go head to head down in Melbourne. The sides come off a loss and a win respective with ironically it was the 16th placed Titans who were winners in a horrible match against the Parramatta, whilst the Storm were outclassed by the 14th placed Wests Tigers.

Despite the huge gap in talent for the two-sides this could be a danger match again for the Storm who have struggled to meet expectations against bottom sides and if the Titans are able to click then the Storm could be in trouble if they don't show up. On the other side of the coin this game could be a big problem to the Titans because they were average in their victory over Parramatta and if they pull out that performance again then the Storm could rack up the points if they are on fire.

Last meeting: Round 14 2014 - Gold Coast Titans 20 Melbourne Storm 24

Who to watch: In a team full of stars, the glue for the Storm has been Blake Green who since his return to the NRL has been one of the most influential players on field for the Storm. Green has complimented the game of Cooper Cronk perfectly and if they both fire then it could be a long day for the Titans.

Despite a less than impressive season, James Roberts has been a shining light for the Titans this season with most of their tries coming through Roberts or Anthony Don and if they want points in this game then they need both of them to fire.

The favourite: The Storm are the very heavy favourites for this one, despite a last start win the performance of the Titans was enough for the punters to get onto the Storm 13+.

My tip: Its hard to see the Storm losing two in a row to bottom three and the Storm will want to avoid a performance like last week - Storm by 30
