Roosters v Eels preview

Sydney Roosters v Parramatta Eels
Allianz Stadium - Saturday 7:30pm

Can the Roosters cure their defensive lapses? Or will Parra Power shock them?

Two sides who have had differing seasons do battle in what could either be a lopsided clash or a game that goes down to the wire.

The Roosters who haven't been able to put together an 80 minute performance over the last 6-8 weeks will be desperate to stop their defensive lapses and get some confidence on their charge to the finals. Their attack has been brilliant lately, easily opening opposing defence's defensive lines with ultimate ease.

Parramatta will need to bring something special on Saturday night to stop the dominance. Parra themselves have had serious issues all over the shop, although that was stopped momentarily last week with that win against Penrith. Brad Arthur would like that momentum to keep going and a win against the Tri Colours would be a real boil over.

Last meeting: Round 6 2014 - Parramatta Eels 14 Sydney Roosters 12

Who to watch: The Roosters will need a good game from Mitch Pearce again to keep their attack rolling forward. Pearce has had another brilliant season with try assists galore. He will link up with Boyd Cordner and Aiden Guerra out wide on the fringes will be a real style of their play on Saturday.

For Parra, Reece Robinson won the game for them last week and if Parra win this game he will need to be faultless at the back. He has great speed and his knack of getting into space when giving the opportunity will be very valuable for their attack.

The favourite: Roosters strong, strong favourites in this clash.

My tip: Roosters will have too much for Parra and should win comfortably. Roosters by 12
