Parramatta Eels v Brisbane Broncos
Pirtek Stadium - Thursday 8:05pm

1. Michael Gordon 2. Semi Radradra 3. Michael Jennings 4. Brad Takairangi 5. Clinton Gutherson 6. Corey Norman 7. Kieran Foran 8. Junior Paulo 9. Nathan Peats 10. Tim Mannah 11. Manu Ma'u 12. Beau Scott 13. Tepai Moeroa
Interchange: 14. David Gower 15. Peni Terepo 16. Daniel Alvaro 17. Ken Edwards 18. Kaysa Pritchard

Analysis - Fresh off their Auckland 9's win, there are no huge surprises for Parramatta, with new recruits Michael Gordon, Michael Jennings, Clint Gutherson, Beau Scott and Kieran Foran all named to debut for the club. Tepai Moeroa gets his opportunity in the #13 replacing Anthony Watmough.

Supercoach Studs - Nathan Peats looks like an option with no Isaac De Gois named on the bench and looks certain to play big minutes. Michael Gordon starts at fullback and has been a keeper in the past. Corey Norman was player of the tournament at the Auckland 9's.

Supercoach Duds - Semi Radradra was a Supercoach machine in 2015 but starts as the most expensive player. Simply far too much of a risk for a winger at that price. Eels have a great bye schedule this year so he will be a must prior to Origin.

1. Darius Boyd 2. Corey Oates 3. Jordan Kahu 4. James Roberts 5. Greg Eden 6. Anthony Milford 7. Ben Hunt 8. Josh McGuire 9. Andrew McCullough 10. Adam Blair 11. Alex Glenn 12. Matt Gillett 13. Corey Parker
Interchange: 14. Jarrod Wallace 15. Sam Thaiday 16. Jo Ofanhengaue 17. Kodi Nikorima

Analysis - The 2015 runners up face a tough away trip away to Pirtek Stadium and start 2016 as the premiership favourites. Josh McGuire returns from injury and returns into the starting start at the expense of Sam Thaiday who starts from the interchange. Jack Reed is still out due to injury, which sees Jordan Kahu move to centre and British outside back Greg Eden gets a chance on the wing.

Supercoach Studs - Brisbane have plenty of studs to choose from with Anthony Milford, Ben Hunt, Matt Gillett and Corey Parker all excellent choices. Josh McGuire could be eased back from injury, however is being groomed for a move into lock in the future which should see big minutes at some stage this season.

Supercoach Duds - Greg Egan starts at a rookie price, but will need to play out of his skin to keep his spot with Jack Reed reportedly not far off returning.

Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles v Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs
Brookvale Oval - Friday 8:05pm

1. Brett Stewart 2. Jorge Taufua 3. Jamie Lyon 4. Steve Matai 5. Tom Trbojevic 6. Dylan Walker 7. Daly Cherry-Evans 8. Jake Trbojevic 9. Apisai Koroisau 10. Nate Myles 11. Lewis Brown 12. Nathan Green 13. Martin Taupau
Interchange: 14. Matt Parcell 15. Blake Leary 16. Darcy Lussick 17. Feleti Mateo 18. Siosaia Vave

Analysis - It's new look Sea Eagles side, with the forward pack in particular getting a complete makeover in the offseason. New five eighth Dylan Walker starts and is joined on debut by fellow new recruits, Apisai Koroisau, Nate Myles, Martin Taupau and Lewis Brown who have all been named in the starting 13. Former Dragons centre Nathan Green is a surprise starter in the backrow.

Supercoach Studs - Daly Cherry-Evans traditionally starts a season strongly and will look to be calling the shots for the Manly attack without Kieran Foran. Nathan Green has been named on form and being available at centre looks a promising buy.

Supercoach Duds - Brenton Lawrence has not been named in the 17 this week, but is surely only an injury away. Matt Parcell starts on the bench for Api Koroisau which may see him become more of an impact player, which will see him relying on attacking stats.

1. William Hopoate 2. Curtis Rona 3. Josh Morris 4. Chase Stanley 5. Sam Perrett 6. Josh Reynolds 7. Moses Mbye 8. Aiden Tolman 9. Michael Lichaa 10. James Graham 11. Josh Jackson 12. Tony Williams 13. Greg Eastwood
Interchange: 14. Sam Kasiano 15. Danny Fualalo 16. Tim Browne 17. Adam Elliot 19. Shaun Lane

Analysis - Canterbury enter 2016 flying under the radar, which is just how coach Des Hasler likes it. The news that Brett Morris will be out for 4 months is a devastating blow, however this sees gun recruit Will Hopoate given his chance to impress the Bulldogs faithful. Tony Williams makes his return from a long injury layoff with rookie Adam Elliott named in place of David Klemmer who returns next week from suspension.

Supercoach Studs - The reduction of the interchange should see captain James Graham given more time in the middle, provided he doesn't cop too many knocks. Moses Mbye assumes the goalkicking duties and will be up for a big year after securing the halfback role for the next few seasons.

Supercoach Duds - Shaun Lane has been named on an extended bench in a huge surprise considering his break out season in 2015.

Canberra Raiders v Penrith Panthers
GIO Stadium Canberra - Saturday 3:00pm

1. Jack Wighton 2. Edrick Lee 3. Jarrod Croker 4. Joseph Leilua 5. Jordan Rapana 6. Sam Williams 7. Aidan Sezer 8. Shannon Boyd 9. Josh Hodgson 10. Frank Paul Nuuausala 11. Josh Papalii 12. Elliot Whitehead 13. Shaun Fensom
Interchange: 14. Blake Austin 15. Iosia Soliola 16. Paul Vaughan 17. Jeff Lima 18. Kurt Baptiste

Analysis - Canberra enter 2016 with high expectations and will be desperate to improve their home ground record after only recording 3 wins at Canberra Stadium last year. Blake Austin has been named to start from the bench in a huge selection shock from Ricky Stuart, which sees Sam Williams start at five eighth and new recruit Aidan Sezer makes his debut in the lime green. English international Elliot Whitehead has forced his way into the starting side and is also on debut. Sisa Waqa has been picked in NSW Cup with Jordan Rapana starting on the wing.

Supercoach Studs - Jarrod Croker averaged over 60 points a game last season and judging by the Raiders trial form could be scoring plenty of points again this year. Shannon Boyd starts for the Raiders and is at a very tempting price.

Supercoach Duds - Iosia Soliola starts from the bench and doesn't have dual status this year. Blake Austin on the bench! Crazy talk…this also spells as bad news for those looking at Josh Hodgson.

1. William Smith 2. Josh Mansour 3. Waqa Blake 4. Peta Hiku 5. Dallin Watene Zelezniak 6. Jamie Soward 7. Peter Wallace 8. Sam McKendry 9. James Segeyaro 10. Regan Campbell-Gillard 11. Bryce Cartwright 12. Isaah Yeo 13. Trent Merrin
Interchange: 14. Tyrone Peachey 15. Jeremy Latimore 16. Suaia Matagi 17. Elijah Taylor

Analysis - Penrith travel to the Nation's Capital without new captain Matt Moylan, with Will Smith taking his spot at fullback. Dean Whare is also out injured and replaced by Waqa Blake. Big name recruit and NSW forward Trent Merrin makes his debut for the club and Isaah Yeo has forced his way into the starting side, pushing Elijah Taylor and Tyrone Peachey to the bench.

Supercoach Studs - The Panthers have a host of quality pick ups for Round 1 with Josh Mansour, James Segeyaro, Bryce Cartwright and Trent Merrin all quality selections.

Supercoach Duds - There are far too many starting options in the backrow to consider Tyrone Peachey who starts from the bench.

Wests Tigers v Warriors
Campbelltown Stadium - Saturday 5:30pm

1. James Tedesco 2. David Nofoaluma 3. Tim Simona 4. Kevin Naiqama 5. Jordan Rankin 6. Mitchell Moses 7. Jack Littlejohn 8. Aaron Woods 9. Manaia Cherrington 10. Tim Grant 11. Curtis Sironen 12. Chris Lawrence 13. Sauaso Sue
Interchange: 14. Kyle Lovett 15. Josh Aloiai 16. Ava Seumanufagai 17. Jack Buchanan 18. Michael Chee-Kam

Analysis - The Tigers start 2016 missing Robbie Farah for the first 6 weeks and young gun Luke Brooks misses a week due to suspension. Former Titan Jordan Rankin has jagged the wing position left open by Pat Richards' departure in the off season. Mania Cherrington starts in place of Farah in the #9.

Supercoach Studs - James Tedesco is the pick of the bunch at the Tigers and is a slightly cheaper alternative to Roger Tuivasa-Sheck. Josh Aloai comes across from Parramatta and makes his NRL debut. Aaron Woods starts the season as captain and will look to inspire the young pack. Mania Cherrington should see a rise but a lot will depend on if Dene Halatau returns as starting hooker or in the backrow next week.

Supercoach Duds - Michael Chee Kam looked to be a super buy as a dual but has unfortunately be named as 18th man.

1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck 2. Tuimoala Lolohea 3. Blake Ayshford 4. Solomone Kata 5. Manu Vatuvei 6. Shaun Johnson 7. Jeff Robson 8. Jacob Lillyman 9. Issac Luke 10. Ben Matulino 11. Ben Henry 12. Ryan Hoffman 13. Simon Mannering
Interchange: 14. Nathaniel Roache 15. Sam Lisone 16. James Gavet 17. Bodene Thompson 18. Jonathan Wright 20. Albert Vete

Analysis - The Warriors face a tricky first up away game that they are expected to win following the high profile recruitment of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Issac Luke. New Zealand have named a few surprises with Blake Ayshford beating out Konrad Hurrell to start at centre and Ben Henry returns from injury to start ahead of Bodene Thompson.

Supercoach Studs - Shaun Johnson starts the season at five eighth but this should have little effect on his scoring ability. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck at the Roosters was a weapon, however will he settle into the side straight away? Ben Henry starts as a cheapie and with dual status is very inviting.

Supercoach Duds - Konrad Hurrell misses selection despite his very reasonable price for a tackle busting machine. Bodene Thompson may be eased back in following off season surgery.

North Queensland Cowboys v Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks
1300SMILES Stadium - Saturday 7:30pm

1. Lachlan Coote 2. Kyle Feldt 3. Justin O'Neill 4. Kane Linnett 5. Antonio Winterstein 6. Michael Morgan 7. Johnathan Thurston 8. Matthew Scott 9. Jake Granville 10. James Tamou 11. Gavin Cooper 12. Ethan Lowe 13. Jason Taumalolo
Interchange: 14. Rory Kostjasyn 15. John Asiata 16. Scott Bolton 17. Ben Hannant

Analysis - The Cowboys have named the exact 17 players that lined up in their 2016 Grand Final win. They face a Sharks side that was embarrassed in 38-0 in last season's semi-final the last time the two sides met.

Supercoach Studs - Jonathan Thurston is a must at some stage and the reigning Dally M winner is even an easy set and forget for the season. Grand Final hero Michael Morgan is also available at fullback and a good point of difference.

Supercoach Duds - Jason Taumalolo only averaged 50 points last season despite having so much promise. Too inconsistent to start with.

1. Ben Barba 2. Sosaia Feki 3. Jack Bird 4. Ricky Leutele 5. Valentine Holmes 6. James Maloney 7. Chad Townsend 8. Andrew Fifita 9. Michael Ennis 10. Sam Tagataese 11. Luke Lewis 12. Wade Graham 13. Paul Gallen
Interchange: 14. Chris Heighington 15. Matt Prior 16. David Fifita 17. Jayson Bukuya 18. Gerard Beale 19. Joseph Paulo

Analysis - The Sharks have assembled a strong squad, strengthening their halves with the acquisition of prodigal son, Chad Townsend and former NSW half James Maloney. Ben Barba has won the #1 jersey for Round 1, with Dally M Rookie of the Year Jack Bird to start at centre, which sees Gerard Beale named as 18th man.

Supercoach Studs - The Sharks have Paul Gallen, Andrew Fifita, James Maloney and Wade Graham who are all solid picks straight up. Ben Barba is a steal considering he should get a good crack at fullback.

Supercoach Duds - Valentine Holmes starts on the wing for now and despite his tryscoring potential is a risk at this stage. Michael Ennis had a breakout year but not as much will be expected in attack with the arrival of Maloney and Townsend.

Sydney Roosters v South Sydney Rabbitohs
Allianz Stadium - Sunday 4:00pm

1. Blake Ferguson 2. Daniel Tupou 3. Dale Copley 4. Shaun Kenny-Dowall 5. Latrell Mitchell 6. Jayden Nikorima 7. Jackson Hastings 8. Kane Evans 9. Jake Friend 10. Dylan Napa 11. Aidan Guerra 12. Mitchell Aubusson 13. Isaac Liu
Interchange: 14. Sio Siua Taukeiaho 15. Sam Moa 16. Ian Henderson 17. Vincent Leuluai 18. Mitchell Frei 19. Joe Burgess

Analysis - The Roosters have had the off season from hell and will look to put it all behind them against their bitter arch rivals the Rabbitohs on Sunday. A host of rookies make their debut including Jayden Nikorima, Joseph Leuluai and boom youngster Latrell Mitchell. Dale Copley also makes his debut for the club. Kane Evans and Dylan Napa get their chance to start without Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Boyd Cordner missing from the line up.

Supercoach Studs - Jackson Hastings is a must have and will be the most popular player in Supercoach, he also has the kicking duties. Jayden Nikorima should have a few price rises and is also available at hooker. Latrell Mitchell could be a superstar and is worth the punt even though he will start on the wing as opposed to centre. Interestingly Kane Evans and Dylan Napa should get increased minutes with injury to Waerea- Hargreaves. Evans is $60k cheaper so will be a popular choice.

Supercoach Duds - Great Britain winger, Joe Burgess was a highly rated off season recruit but has been swamped by the form of Latrell Mitchell. He will now have to wait for an opportunity.

1. Greg Inglis 2. Alex Johnston 3. Bryson Goodwin 4. Hymel Hunt 5. Aaron Gray 6. Cody Walker 7. Adam Reynolds 8. Sam Burgess 9. Cameron McInnes 10. David Tyrrell 11. Paul Carter 12. John Sutton 13. Kyle Turner
Interchange: 14. Damien Cook 15. Jason Clark 16. Chris Grevsmuhl 17. Zane Musgrove 18. Kirisome Auva'a 19. Nathan Brown

Analysis - South Sydney welcome back Sam Burgess in a mouth watering clash on Sunday afternoon. Burgess starts at prop due to brothers George and Tom who are out suspended (back Round 2) and injured respectively. Cameron McInnes replaces Issac Luke at hooker, while former Storm rookie Hymel Hunt gets his chance at centre. Paul Carter starts at lock.

Supercoach Studs - Greg Inglis is an incredible point of difference due to the emergence of Tedesco and Tuivasa-Sheck last year. Sam Burgess was the best Supercoach performer of 2014, before leaving to play Rugby.

Supercoach Duds - Damien Cook starts from the bench and should see a huge drop in price. 2014 Grand Final winner and potential cheapie, Kirisome Auva'a was at huge surprise not making the run on side.

Gold Coast Titans v Newcastle Knights
Cbus Super Stadium - Sunday 6:30pm

1. William Zillman 2. Anthony Don 3. Josh Hoffman 4. Nathan Davis 5. David Mead 6. Tyrone Roberts 7. Ashley Taylor 8. David Shillington 9. Nathan Friend 10. Agnatius Paasi 11. Zeb Taia 12. Chris McQueen 13. Greg Bird
Interchange: 14. Eddy Pettybourne 15. Ryan James 16. Leivaha Pulu 17. Daniel Mortimer 18. Lachlan Burr 19. Leva Li

Analysis - The wooden spoon favourites host last year's wooden spooners' Newcastle, in what could turn into a game of Oztag going by both sides form in 2015. Six Titans make their debut for the club, among them half Ashley Taylor who has been named at halfback. Ryan James will start from the bench.

Supercoach Studs - Ashley Taylor is close to a must have due to the season ending injury to Kane Elgey. Agnatius Paasi starts at prop following his impressive pre-season form.

Supercoach Duds - Nathan Davis has been named at centre but is he keeping the seat warm for Nene MacDonald who is due back next week? Ryan James starting from the bench is very off putting.

1. Jaelen Feeney 2. Chanel Mata'utia 3. Dane Gagai 4. Pat Mata'utia 5. Akuila Uate 6. Jarrod Mullen 7. Trent Hodkinson 8. Kade Snowden 9. Tyler Randell 10. Sam Mataora 11. Jacob Saifiti 12. Robbie Rochow 13. Jeremy Smith
Interchange: 14. David Bhana 15. Korbin Sims 16. Lachlan Fitzgibbon 17. Pauli Pauli 18. Daniel Saifiti 19. Nathan Ross

Analysis - Newcastle have named a ridiculous 6 rookies for Round 1, as they look to start a new era under Nathan Brown. Promising halfback Jaelen Feeney has moved to fullback in the off season and looks to have first shot since the departure of club legend Kurt Gidley. NSW Halfback Trent Hodkinson makes his debut in the blue and red.

Supercoach Studs - Rookies galore! Jaelen Feeney, Jake Saifit, Chanel and Pat Mata'utia all start. Jake Saifit has come from the clouds to replace the suspended Tariq Sims who won't return until Round 6.

Supercoach Duds - Jake Mamo has failed to claim the fullback position or even a wing position and is not an option at this stage.

Melbourne Storm v St. George Illawarra Dragons
AAMI Park - Monday 7:00pm

1. Billy Slater 2. Marika Koroibete 3. Will Chambers 4. Richard Kennar 5. Young Tonumaipea 6. Blake Green 7. Cooper Cronk 8. Jesse Bromwich 9. Cameron Smith 10. Jordan McLean 11. Kevin Proctor 12. Tohu Harris 13. Dale Finucane
Interchange: 14. Kenneath Bromwich 15. Tim Glasby 16. Ben Hampton 17. Christian Welch 18. Felise Kaufusi 19. Nelson Asofa-Solomona

Analysis - Melbourne have named a very strong side for their Round 1 clash with the Dragons. Billy Slater returns from a long injury lay off, however last year's revelation, Cameron Munster has been ruled out. The Storm have one of the best young forward packs in the NRL and went very close last season.

Supercoach Studs - Cameron Smith is a set and forget at hooker and will play 80 minutes. Billy Slater is at a huge discount and offers excellent value for one of the best players in the competition. Dale Finucane starts at lock and will likely play a bigger role this year with the departure of Ryan Hinchcliffe. Tohu Harris is available at centre and could develop into a keeper judging by his 2015 form.

Supercoach Duds - Highly rated youngster Curtis Scott has missed out on selection but look for him to get a run at some stage.

1. Kurt Mann 2. Euan Aitken 3. Josh Dugan 4. Timoteo Lafai 5. Jason Nightingale 6. Gareth Widdop 7. Benji Marshall 8. Leeson Ah Mau 9. Mitch Rein 10. Russell Packer 11. Will Matthews 12. Joel Thompson 13. Michael Cooper
Interchange: 14. Ben Creagh 15. Jack de Belin 16. Dunamis Lui 17. Siliva Havili 18. Peter Mata'utia 19. Tyrone McCarthy 20. Jake Marketo

Analysis - Josh Dugan has been moved to centre with Kurt Mann getting first shot at fullback. New recruit Tim Lafai starts on his preferred left side, which has pushed last season's boom rookie Euan Aitken to the wing. Russell Packer starts in the front row, with Mike Cooper named at lock.

Supercoach Studs - Josh Dugan is still a solid option despite playing at centre and may even spend less time down injured. Tim Lafai is a former keeper when at Canterbury and starts pretty cheap, he could rediscover some form at his new club.

Supercoach Duds - Silivia Havili has been named on the bench which spells the end of the chances of Mitch Rein playing 80 minutes.
