Symonds keeping options open after demotion

After being relegated to the Intrust Super Premiership by new Manly coach Trent Barrett, former Rooster Tom Symonds might be on his way out of the Northern Beaches club.

AAP reports have suggested up to four NRL clubs could be vying for his signature, with Symonds' manager Gavin Orr indicating the Sea Eagles prop is "not as happy as he probably should be".

Symonds was reportedly unhappy with being passed over for a spot in the Manly 17 last Friday when the maroon-and-whites took on Canterbury in Friday night football, and has again been overlooked for Monday night's clash with the Wests Tigers at Leichhardt Oval. Orr suggested that Tom would need to dig deep to get back into first grade, but that options could become available at several clubs should push come to shove.

With the Rabbitohs missing John Sutton for an extended period, the Roosters missing Jared Waerea-Hargreaves & Boyd Cordner, and the Warriors losing Ben Henry indefinitely with a knee injury, there are any number of potential locations for the off-contract forward.
