A whole Lote points.

Brisbane have thrashed a brave Northern Eagles 50-12 at ANZ Stadium this evening with Lote Tuqiri the star, scoring three tries and kicking seven goals for a personal tally of 26 points. Darren Lockyer and Chris Walker also scored a double with Carl Webb and Corey Parker rounding out the try scorers for the unbeaten Broncos. Tuqiri kicked seven goals from nine attempts in a great display in the abscence of Michael Devere, who has not been able to back up after last nights City/ Country game.

The Northern Eagles did not play that badly but were simply outclassed. Man of the moment, John Hopoate, did his Origin prospects no harm with a great disply in a beaten side.

The most surprising aspect of thei game was the qulity of the refereeing. Matt Ceccin was given the whistle for the match and had a great, relaxed game.

Brisbane look to be well on the way to yet another premiership under maste coach Wayne Bennett.
