Anderson Names
Young Squad for Trial Match

Warriors' Head Coach Daniel Anderson has named a squad with an average age of just 19 for the coming season's first trial match against the St. George-Illawarra Dragons on February 5.

"The team is a combination of Warriors of the future guided by a few old hard-heads," Anderson said.

Of the three players with previous NRL experience purchased by the club in the off-season, only Matt Jobson has been named. He will start in the second-row in what will be his first game for the club.

The side will be captained by Monty Betham, who at 25 years of age will be the oldest player in the run on squad.

The team for this Thursday's game against the Dragons is:

The match is being played at Waikato Stadium in Hamilton and kicks-off at 7:30 pm.

The game will be officiated by leading NRL referee Steve Clarke.
