Anderson to coach 'Saints'

Chris Anderson will coach the Dragons next week.

The Kangaroos and former Sharks coach will take a break from his enforced absence from coaching in the name of charity. Anderson will partner St George Illawarra coach Nathan Brown to prepare the Dragons Allstars for their 6pm clash against the USA Tomahawks at Oki Jubilee Stadium next Wednesday. Proceeds from the game will aid the Joanne Mackay Breast Cancer Foundation. The foundation was set up in memory of Joanne Mackay, the young wife of former St George and Australian player Brad Mackay, who passed away nearly two years ago. Money raised by the foundation provides help for breast cancer patients in their daily lives. Organisers are confident next Wednesday's game will be a success. Brad Mackay will be just one of a Who's Who of former St George greats playing against the Tomahawks.

Other big names include Mark Coyne, Graeme Wynn, Scott Gourley, Ted Goodwin, Ricky Walford, Jeff Hardy, Wayne Collins, Noel Goldthorpe, Mick Potter, David Barnhill, Matt Elliott, Harry Eden, Pat Jarvis and Anthony Mundine. Gates open at 4pm. Tickets cost $10 for adults, kids and pensioners $5 and children under five free. Retired record-breaking referee Bill Harrigan will control the game.
