Another Injury Blow for Warriors

The club have received more bad news on the injury front with confirmation that Second Row Forward Mick Cassidy has been ruled out of action for up to 3 months following an exploratory shoulder operation on Monday.

Cassidy underwent surgery for the shoulder instability problem and was told the bad news, the left arm will be in a sling for four weeks after which rehabilitation can begin. It is the same shoulder Mick dislocated two years ago.

Coach Mike Gregory said,

"This is another huge injury blow to us on the back of us losing Andrew Farrell and Adrian Lam for the first part of the 2004 season. We were all hoping and keeping our fingers crossed it would be short term but the extent of the lay off has shocked us all. It is a major disappointment to Mick and the club. This will give another opportunity to some of our young players to push for a first team spot."
