ARL add 4 Dragons to Roo train-on
squad

Australian selectors added four St George Illawarra players to the Kangaroos train-on squad on Monday - but overlooked incumbent test prop Luke Bailey and NSW centre Mark Gasnier.

Dragons captain Trent Barrett, centre Matt Cooper, prop Jason Ryles and lock Shaun Timmins joined the five players named in the squad last week.

The Kangaroos squad to tour New Zealand, England, France and the United States will be finalised after the grand final.

Bailey was a member of the Australian side which beat New Zealand in the Anzac test earlier this year but missed four months with a torn pectoral muscle.

He made an impressive return in his side's finals loss to Penrith on Friday night but it wasn't enough to bring him back into contention for the end-of-season tour.

Gasnier starred in the Blues' State of Origin win over Queensland in the third game of this year's series but has been sidelined since with a cracked collarbone.

Barrett, Cooper, Ryles and Timmins join Newcastle trio Danny Buderus, Ben Kennedy and Matthew Gidley, Parramatta's Nathan Hindmarsh and Cronulla's Brett Kimmorley in the train-on squad.
