Arrive Alive Cup final moves to
Rockhampton

THE 2006 Queensland final of the Arrive Alive Cup is to be held in Rockhampton, a first in the history of the national schoolboys competition.

The state final will be staged at Browne Park on the evening of Saturday August 19, tentatively scheduled for 6pm. This game will act as a curtain-raiser to the vital Round 22 QLD Wizard Cup clash between the Central Comets and Easts Tigers.

The decision to base the Queensland Arrive Alive final in Rockhampton follows St Brendan's Yeppoon's 28-4 semi-final win against Townsville school Ignatius Park College this afternoon.

Brisbane Broncos rookie David Taylor scored three tries and a goal for St Brendan's in the victory.

St Brendan's now faces the winner of tonight's other semi-final between Gold Coast schools Keebra Park SHS and Palm Beach Currumbin SHS. This match is to be played at Pizzey Park, Miami at 6.30pm

The winner of the Queensland Final on August 19 will automatically qualify for a national semi-final position.
