Parramatta has announced the retention of Luke Burt and Fuifui Moimoi among four contract extensions for the club.

Fullback Burt has agreed to terms until the end of 2010 while New Zealand Test squad prop Moimoi will remain at the Eels for the next two years. Parramatta chief executive Denis Fitzgerald also announced two year deals for young up and comers Taulima Tautai and Tim Mannah.

Tautai played centre in the Eels Premier League premiership-winning side on Sunday while Mannah was prop in the losing Jersey Flegg grand final side.

Melbourne prop Ben Cross has accepted a two-game ban for an eye gouge in last Sunday's Grand Final win over Manly. Cross entered an early guilty plea to grade three contrary conduct for unnecessary facial contact today and avoids a three game suspension by not fighting the charge.

The incident involved Manly fullback Brett Stewart in the sixth minute of the game at Telstra Stadium, but neither player could recall the alleged eye gouge. Cross will serve the suspension when he joins Newcastle next season but will only miss two trial games.

Manly's Jamie Lyon and Jason King have yet to enter pleas on their dangerous throw and knee lifting charges, with the club receiving an extension until tomorrow morning.
