Gold Coast hooker Clint Amos faces a two-week ban for a dangerous throw from last Friday's loss to St George Illawarra. Amos is the only player cited by the NRL match review committee, charged with a grade one dangerous throw tackle in the 37th minute.

Due to his carry over points from a similar offence, Amos faces a two game ban with an early guilty plea or the same suspension if he fights the charge and loses at the judiciary.

In Origin news, Queensland skipper Darren Lockyer has warned Blues rookie Jarryd Hayne to expect an aerial bombardment in State of Origin I as the Maroons attempt to shatter the teenage winger's confidence.

The 19-year-old Hayne is one of five rookies selected in the New South Wales squad for Wednesday night's clash at Suncorp Stadium. Lockyer has been practicing his trademark towering bombs at training on the Gold Coast this week and says he plans to test Hayne's nerve early in the sellout game.

Meanwhile, the New South Wales rugby league team have arrived in Brisbane and delivered a dig at the Maroons ahead of Wednesday night's State of Origin series opener at Suncorp Stadium. Blues coach Graham Murray says his team are feeling confident and relishing their underdog status.

Murray says Queensland have never coped well with being tagged favourites and it will be interesting to see how they handle the pressure on Wednesday. Blues fullback Anthony Minichiello ended all doubts over his back injury by declaring himself to 100 percent fitness and ready to go in two day's time.
