The Cronulla Sharks today signed Trent Barrett to a two year contract.
The former Australian, NSW, Dragons and Wigan five-eighth has reportedly agreed to a deal worth $600,000.
Its understod Barrett's deal will include a third party sponsorship agreement with broadcaster Channel Nine.
The signing ends a series of negotaitions with numerous NRL clubs after Barrett was granted an early release from English club Wigan.
He replaces Bulldogs-bound halfback Brett Kimmorley.
An official announcement is expected later today.
