Round 11 of New Zealand's Bartercard Cup starts off with the first game on Saturday afternoon between the Hibiscus Coast Riders hosting the visiting Wellington side. With the Raiders suffering their first loss of the competition in last week's round, they will be out to show their home crowd that it won't happen again and unfortunately for the Wellington side I feel they will be getting a thrashing. The North Harbour vs Manurewa Marlins Bartercard Cup fixture that was scheduled to take place at the Birkenhead War Memorial 12 July 2003 at 2.30pm has now been transferred to Freyberg Park Browns Bay 12 July 2003 at 2.30pm. The Tigers have been the most consistent team in the competition of late, whereas the same cannot be said of Manuwera. So I'm pretty sure the Tigers will come away with the win. A great match up before the Warriors NRL clash with the Sea Eagles at Ericsson is between Marist Richmond Brothers and Otahuhu Leopards. Both these sides have a good chance of winning this game. Although Marist is ahead on the points table, the Leopards are very capable of an upset.

This time the Central Falcons come to visit and I would be very surprised if they upset the Bulls on the night. Canterbury Bulls vs. Central Falcons 12 July 2003, Rugby League Park No. 2. An exciting game is predicted at Harold Moody Park on Sunday afternoon when Glenora Bears host Mt Albert Lions. The Lions had a narrow win over Marist in the last round and although the Bears were thrashed by North Harbour Tigers, they tend to lift for the big games and might just surprise the Lions a little.

Taranaki Wildcats play host to the Eastern Tornadoes on Sunday afternoon. The Eastern side had the pleasure of stopping the Raiders unbeaten record in Round 10, and I don't think they'll have too much trouble adding another two points to their tally up against the Wildcats.
