Big Jase in bother again

Sharks prop Jason Stevens is facing his second suspension of the season after being charged with a dangerous throw by the National Rugby League match review committee.

Stevens was cited for a lifting tackle on Daniel Fitzhenry in the 54th minute of last Friday night's game against the Wests Tigers.

He will receive a one-week suspension unless he can successfully defend the charge.

Stevens would also receive the same penalty if he chose an early guilty plea.

Friday nights game against the Tigers was Stevens' first since being suspended for knee lifting.

If Stevens is suspended, it would be a big loss for the Sharks who have lost their past three games and are playing the Sydney Roosters on Friday night.
