Blacklock set to sign with
Waratahs

Former St George winger, Nathan Blacklock is set to join Rugby Union and sign a two year deal today with the NSW Waratahs.

Blacklock's agent will meet NSW Rugby Union boss John McKay this morning. Although figures are unconfirmed, it has been reported that Blacklock has agreed to a bargain basement deal of just $110,000 per season.

This is in contrast with the $500,000 deal reportedly offered to Brisbane winger Lote Tuqiri.

Nathan Blacklock left the St George Illawarra Dragons and Rugby League earlier this month stating that he had lost his passion for the game.

The deal with the Waratahs, if correct, is approximately one third of the money he was receiving while playing for the Dragons.
