Brisbane have picked up a much-needed win with a comfortable 30-10 triumph over Cronulla at Suncorp Stadium.
Riding a three-game losing streak coming into the match, and nine days removed from a 0-56 humiliation in Canberra, a welter of possession and field position was sufficient for Brisbane to show enough of their class to put away the moribund Sharks.
Cronulla, themselves losers of five in a row entering this contest, started positively, scoring the first try when captain Luke Covell went over in the corner. But soon after, Brisbane began to dominate the game, and from there it was seemingly only a matter of time before they got well on top.
