Brisbane Broncos name team to play
Dragons

Broncos coach Wayne Bennett has named a full-strength line-up for Friday night?s clash with St George-Illawarra at Suncorp Stadium, but is will re-assess his final 17 after the opening State of Origin clash on Wednesday night.

Brisbane have six players facing a two-day turnaround for the Dragons match and Bennett indicated early in the season he may rest his representative stars if he feels they are playing too much football.

Prop forward Shane Webcke and backrowers Dane Carlaw and Tonie Carroll appear the most likely to be given time off by the coach.

Petero Civoniceva will make his return to the Brisbane side after five weeks sidelined with a knee ligament injury, however, star five-eighth Darren Lockyer (broken rib) is still at least a week away from playing.

Casey McGuire and Ben Ikin will again pair-up in the halves for Brisbane and Ikin will most likely be forced to play the full eighty minutes this time round as nobody on the bench can genuinely cover a playmaking role.
