Broncos docked two points but will
appeal

The NRL has docked the Brisbane Broncos two competition points over their 14 man breach against the Wests Tigers in round three. The Broncos went on to win the match and the illegal replacement, Corey Parker scored the decisive try that handed the Broncos the lead in a very tight match.

The Broncos have indicated they will appeal the decision handed down by the NRL and they have until the end of the week to do so.

The NRL reached their decision after interviewing the match official who maintains he was ignored by Corey Parker after twice warning him not enter the field of play until Shane Webcke had left the field.

The Broncos are upset at the docking which sees them drop out of the top four and hands second position to the Canberra Raiders whilst St George Illawarra now move into the coveted top four. The Bulldogs also benefit by moving up one place to third spot.

The Broncos have not ruled out legal action should their appeal fail and the matter is now with the clubs legal representatives.
