Broncos gatecrash Storm's housewarming party

Melbourne Storm didn't get the christening party they wanted at the new AAMI Park as the Brisbane Broncos spoiled their celebrations winning 36-14 in front of 20,032 screaming supporters.

The signs early in the game was that the home side was ready to run away with the match on their new turf, when 6 minutes down Quinn crossed the line.
Unfortunately for them, the Broncos were intent on making sure the party wasn't a victory celebration.

The halftime score 24-4 to the visitors totally unexpected by the fans in AAMI Park, the booing every time Folau touched the ball became louder as he scored 2 tries in the first half.

Signs the Storm were coming back in the game in the last 40 minutes were there, with Cronk and Slater heavily involved, however some dynamic scrambling defence by the Broncos halted a lot of plays that usually would work.
Sam Thaiday and Darren Lockyer both outstanding for the Broncos backing up from ANZAC Test duties.

The supporters staying until the end to cheer on their team with a late try to Duffie, his second of the match, sending the cheers back around their new park.
