Broncos in ten try romp

3:00PM, 16 June 2002 ANZ Stadium. Crowd 10,215 Referee: M Cecchin

The Brisbane Broncos have scored ten tries to two to outclass the NQ Cowboys by 52-8 today at ANZ Stadium.

With the scores at 4-all, Allan Langer was sent to the sin bin for dissent in the 24th minute. Langer reportedly called Referee Cecchin a '****** Dumbo'.

Playing with 12 men, the Broncos scored two quick tries and scored again to lead 20-4 after 35 minutes.

At half time the Broncos led 32-4

North Queensland started well scoring first in both halves but were never able to compete with the speed out wide as the Broncos cut loose. At times the Cowboys' defence was ordinary to say the least.

But the Broncos are looking like a team in form as they backed each other all afternoon scoring some tremendous team tries.

Brisbane Broncos 52 (Tries: Tate 2, McGuire 2, Tallis, Walker, Berrigan, Kelly, Tuqiri, Lockyer. Goals: Tuqiri 6/10) North Queensland Cowboys 8 (Tries: Bowman, Bowen. Goals: Bowen 0/1, Hannay 0/1)
