Broncos name team to face Sea
Eagles

International centre Michael De Vere has been ruled out of this Saturday afternoon?s clash with Manly at Suncorp Stadium after injuring his knee at training.

Set to make his return to the Broncos squad after two weeks on the sidelines with a quadriceps strain, the goalkicking ace hobbled off the training field at Red Hill in obvious discomfort.

Teammates later claimed to have heard a ?pop? as De Vere attempted to change direction, sparking fears the injury could be serious, however, nothing will be known until scans can be done.

Rangy winger Scott Minto has retained his place in the starting 13 in the absence of De Vere.

Prop Shane Webcke is also out with State of Origin star Corey Parker replacing the veteran in the front-row. Darren Mapp has earned a recall to the interchange after playing with Toowoomba last weekend.

In some better news for Brisbane, in-form lock Tonie Carroll has been named to return after serving his three-week suspension for two separate striking charges.

Impressive youngster Neville Costigan has been named on a five-man bench, which also includes 19-year-old David Stagg who has been a standout since his promotion to the NRL squad three weeks ago.
