Broncos power over disappointing Tigers

Brisbane have got back into the winner's circle after a 32-12 victory over a disappointing Tigers outfit tonight at Suncorp Stadium.

Coming off successive victories over the Cowboys and Panthers, Tigers were off to a fast start in the fifth minute through late inclusion Liam Fulton. He raked a kick in-field for James Tedesco to come under Corey Norman's guard to make it 6-0.

The pressure of going behind much like the previous losses this season would have weighed heavy on the Broncos mind. Matt Gillett took it upon himself from a standing start to put the home side on the board.

Momentum had swung with Brisbane regularly making sixty plus metres in each set. They were dangerous around their edges with Jack Reed on the end of some frantic play to give Brisbane the lead.

The points continued to pile on with Scott Prince adding a penalty goal in the 36th minute. Hoffman added his name to the scoresheet with a finisher's effort to give us a 16 point to 6 scoreline to the home side at halftime.

Justin Hodges continued to wreak havoc on the edges against his opposite number. He was gifted his try though as Joel Reddy dropped a bomb right into the hands of the Queensland centre.

The spark in defense that Tigers had brought in the previous two weeks was missing and it showed in their effort for Scott Prince' s try. He spun through the tackle, fended off one to the tryline and a vital two competition points for Brisbane.

Sauaso Sue got a running start and crashed over for a late consolation try for the Tigers to get them into double figures. Tonight belonged to the Broncos and Josh Hoffman put the icing on the cake with a power effort to give Brisbane a healthy boost to their for and against.
