Broncos smash cellar Sharks

A mighty first half effort from the Brisbane Broncos has set up a 44-16 victory at Suncorp Stadium, getting the Queensland side away from the foot of the ladder. The Broncos were extremely dominant in the first forty minutes of the game, scoring six tries for a 32-0 half-time score. The Sharks defence was never on as the Broncos, who had a few inclusions into the game with a much stronger side than the last few weeks, dominated.

Peter Wallace was damaging, getting through some bad defence multiple times. The errors were down and the metres were up for the home side as the side, thanks to a Matt Gillett and Israel Folau brace set themselves up a massive lead.

The Sharks were probably the better of the two sides in the second half with three tries, but the afternoon will prove costly for them. Prop Josh Cordoba was taken off the field with a horror injury and utility Paul Aiton suffered the same fate. News about their injuries should be known in the next few days.
