Broncos victory comes at cost

The Broncos have defeated the South Sydney Rabbitohs 20-12 in front of 15,599 avid rugby league fans tonight at NIB Stadium, Perth.

Injuries marred the game with Scott Geddes ruled out during the warm up for the Rabbitohs, Jharal Yow Yeh snapping his ankle and a host of other players coming away from the match with some bruises. 

The first half had it all; Sin bins, horrible injuries, tries and penalty goals! Scott Geddes had to pull out before kick-off was even signalled after he strained his hamstring in the warm up as Nathan Peats came onto the bench. From there the South Sydney Rabbitohs started strongly as a great team move saw Inglis push past Jack Reed easily as he simply passed the ball to 25-year old Rookie, Andrew Everingham.

The next set the Rabbitohs' hooker, Issac Luke, threw a well-timed offload to enforcer Micheal Crocker, who passed to Adam Reynolds. Jack Reed of the Broncos pulled him down before holding on too long and being marched to the sin bin for a professional foul. Off the back of the penalty, Reynolds put the Rabbitohs up 8-0.
