Bulldogs too strong for injured
Panthers

The Canterbury Bulldogs have beaten a weakened Penrith Panthers side 46-20 at Telstra Stadium.

It was a strong first 20 minutes for Penrith with the bulk of possession and an early penalty goal before Roberts and Lewis combined to give them an early 8 point lead.

The good work was quickly turned around as Steve Price was first held up over the line and minutes later Brent Sherwin finally crossed to swing momentum the Bulldogs way.

Sherwin then scored his second try shortly before half time to give the Bulldogs the lead and make the score 12-8 at the break.

The Bulldogs started off the second half with the same intensity as they finished the first and extended their lead early with Andrew Ryan scoring.

From there the flood gates opened with youngsters like Sonny-Bill Williams, Tonga and Lolesi shining as the Bulldogs ran away with the match.
