Campese named Raiders Captain

Terry Campese has been named Captain of the Canberra Raiders for season 2012, with David Shillington and Brett White named Vice-Captains.

The announcement was made at tonight's season launch in front of Raiders sponsors, VIP's and selected members.

Campese has been with the club since he was a junior and his role as Captain follows on from the retired Alan Tongue and a host of club legends including David Grant, Mal Meninga and Laurie Daley.

The appointment of David Shillington and Brett White as Vice Captains is to provide Campese as pillars of support, where he can look to them both on and off the field.

Campese, Shillington and White are already part of the Club Player Representative Group along with Dane Tilse, Bronson Harrison and Tom Learoyd-Lahrs.

Campese said it was a great honour to be named Captain of the club and said he would try and continue on from the great leaders of the past.
