Champion joins Gold Coast Titans

The Jetstar Gold Coast Titans have added further strike power to their backline for next season with Melbourne centre Beau Champion today signing a three-year contract with the club.

Champion will join the Titans from next season until the end of 2014 after being formally granted a release from the final years of his existing contract with the Melbourne Storm.

The 24-year-old will join rising superstar Jamal Idris in the Titans backline for next season, adding further depth and strike power to a roster which already includes fellow flyers Kevin Gordon and David Mead.

The 186cm, 96kg centre, who has represented City Origin over the past two years as well as the Indigenous All Stars, said he had enjoyed his time at the Storm but for personal reasons had elected to make his move north to the Titans.
